This tune is 100% born, inspired and immersed in the culture and practice of reggae / dub sound systems. "Sound system" is the first release of the I&I Project Records Label, out of the homonymous Italian sound with 25 years of history.
The producer Vito "Lion T" Traetta, born 1999, has got the sound system in his blood since he was born, from his parents deep connection to the I&I early crew in the 90s. He's been active as boxboy and selecta since 2014 then started producing his own original music in 2021.
A different but similar story for the singer Teta Mona, whose passion for dub music deepened when returned to her hometown Altamura, after more than 14 years of traveling the world, performing and writing music along underground cult bands between London and New York.
To complete the team, a long-time I&I Project friend from Leicester UK: Steve Vibronics crafted voice and sounds with his well-known dub wisdom and experience, capable of sounding clear and deadly on any rig.
You can feel all these livities in the aggressive progression of the tune, with the incessant piano and synth pulse that flows into an overwhelming and liberating stepper rhythm. Teta Mona's voice comes like fuel to the fire, original, energetic and seductive, like a modern punky dub reggae party.
The lyrics sing the praises of I&I Sound, but are conceived as a dubplate for all the sound systems in the world, each with its own style and priorities, but all with the same attitude and mentality, we are one family!
Includes unlimited streaming of Sound System - the Vibronics mix
via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.

Haffi fall all the way
Burn down Babylon and the system
Your mentality
Prejudice and fear let them sink down
Simmer down with the ganja
Burn me strong
Sound system a come
See me now with the gang
Hear me strong
Sound system a come
Top shatter, a mean top shotta
LionT everytime is better
Mista P my fine silecta
Que passa aqui
What’s the matter
Become fatter
Like King Kong steppa
and if you miss you gone regretta
Superbass my fine silecta
Que pasa aqui
What’s the matter
I’m your lyrical machine
With a wicked drum machine
This a real mad machine
I&I on the scene
